چکیده

This paper reports on the effect of addition nano-calcium silicate hydrate (nano-CSH) seeds early-age strength development and microstructural evolution concrete containing high-volume fly ash (HVFA). Cement replacement levels 60% 70% are considered. For each levels, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% mass (FA) replaced with nano-CSH crystals. The compressive was tested at ages 1, 3, 7, 14, 28 days. Microstructural investigations involve thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). results show that 1% in HVFA60% HVFA70%, respectively, can effectively facilitate formation hydration products Ca(OH)2 C-S-H as well increase rate reaction gain early ages. It found dosages is a critical parameter achieving desired properties.

Effects of Incorporating High-Volume Fly Ash into Tricalcium Silicate on the Degree of Silicate Polymerization and Aluminum Substitution for Silicon in Calcium Silicate Hydrate

This study assesses the quantitative effects of incorporating high-volume fly ash (HVFA) into tricalcium silicate (C₃S) paste on the hydration, degree of silicate polymerization, and Al substitution for Si in calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H). Thermogravimetric analysis and isothermal conduction calorimetry showed that, although the induction period of C₃S hydration was significantly extended, t...

Influence of High Temperatures on Flexural Strength of Foamed Concrete Containing Fly Ash and Polypropylene Fiber

In this study, the elevated temperature flexural strengths of lightweight foamed concrete (LFC) containing fly ash (FA) and polypropylene fiber (PF) was investigated experimentally and statistically. The variables included were the temperature degrees (in a range of 20 to 600°C), LFC densities of 600, 800, 1000, 1200 and 1400 kg/m3 and additive content. Two mixes were made by replacing 15% and ...

Flexural Toughness of Steel Fiber Reinforced High Performance Concrete Containing Nano-SiO2 and Fly Ash

This paper aims to clarify the effect of steel fiber on the flexural toughness of the high performance concrete containing fly ash and nano-SiO2. The flexural toughness was evaluated by two methods, which are based on ASTM C1018 and DBV-1998, respectively. By means of three-point bending method, the flexural toughness indices, variation coefficients of bearing capacity, deformation energy, and ...

High-performance, High-volume Fly Ash Concrete for Sustainable Development

For a variety of reasons, the concrete construction industry is not sustainable. First, it consumes huge quantities of virgin materials. Second, the principal binder in concrete is portland cement, the production of which is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions that are implicated in global warming and climate change. Third, many concrete structures suffer from lack of durability whi...
